Fly Fishing Lake is for fly fishing only, well stocked with quality hard fighting Rainbow trout up to 2 lbs. It has an abundance of fly life from Buzzer to Damsels with an incredible amount of Alder fly in May resulting in some exciting dry fly sport. Small White Lures representing the Rudd Fry which are in abundance also work well. During the summer when the water is warm we close the trout lake, but as an alternative we provide fly fishing for carp on one of the coarse lakes.
The Coarse Fishing Lakes There are two mixed coarse lakes, one is approximately 3 acres and the other is an acre and a half with depths of 3-8 feet with a good mix of Crucian, Mirror, and Common Carp, large Tench and Bream, Roach, Rudd, and Perch. All fishing techniques and baits work well and with plentiful stock of Roach and Rudd providing instant sport, make it an ideal place for the experienced and novice angler alike.
The Tench, Crucian and Silver Fish Lake. is approximately 1 acre in size with depth to 3-6 feet. We have stocked this lakes with 300 tench to 6lb, 400 true crucian carp. There are also roach and rudd to 3lb.
The Specimen Fishing Lake is approximately 3 acres with depths 3-7 feet, well stocked with Mirror and Common Carp weighing in excess of 37lbs. This mature lake with its irregular shape and many features including 2 islands, plus stock of large fish, will have great appeal to the specimen angler.
